Donnie "Rocket" Nehasil, Drums & Vocals

Don grew up in the Bay Area. He started playing the drums at the age of five. His father was a jazz drummer and gave him lessons until he was playing in his junior high school's jazz band. Don later took lessons from Dominic Gardino, a well-known Bay Area teacher who took lessons from Steve Smith (Journey) and Steve Gadd (Steely Dan). Don started his first rock band, Shakank, at the age of fifteen. Shakank played in San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Rosa, and many other Bay Area music venues. After that band broke up, Don and the singer formed a new band named Vizion. They toured all around for about six years and opened for such acts as Ronnie Montrose, Guns 'n' Roses, Poison, Dokken, and Great White. They had the interest of several record labels, but a contract never materialized. After taking a break from music for a few months, Don sang for a band called China White. They were a studio band and never played live. China White made a five song demo and sent it to Yamaha's music competition, but got beat out by another band called Bon Jovi. Don moved to Sacramento in the late '90s and joined Voice Inside. They did very well, but had to change their name to Second Sight due to a lawsuit from Intel. Second Sight got a record deal and filmed a video at Arco Arena. They opened up for Blink 182, Save Ferris, and Black Lab. After they were dropped by their so-called record company, they decided to disband. Don took a year off of music and played around with several other bands doing recording projects and so forth. Don is now the powerhouse that drives Jet Screamer; the other guys in the band are very happy to have him on board.
